2 'juju' men confess to ‘hijacking’ rainfall in the Volta Region; arrested by police

For some parts of the country, the use of black magic, otherwise known as 'juju', to manipulate things is always a big deal.

Two young spiritualists in Penyi, a town in the Ketu North Municipality of the Volta Region were attacked by residents in their vicinity for using their powers to causes some setbacks.

According to a reported sighted by YEN.com.gh on Ghanaweb, the angry residents, mainly farmers, who launched an attack on them, accused them of preventing the rain from falling.

This they did by casting spells in their rooms or at shrines.

According to them, whenever the rain forms in the cloud, it does not fall, causing their crops in their fields to die.

Despite the fact that the climate is conducive enough for the rains to fall, Penyi and its neighboring towns have not experienced any kind of rainfall, causing the residents to panic.

The situation, however, forced traditional leaders in the town to do open consultation from the gods out of which the names of the two spiritualists were revealed by the chief priest.

Angry residents upon hearing the names of these spiritualists launched a manhunt for them and finally apprehended them in their respective hideouts where they were beaten and embarrassed in public.

They [spiritualists] in the process, confessed and admitted their evil acts which they said they have been doing for quite a long time now.

Police in the Penyi township however came to the rescue of these spiritualists and took them into their custody.

In other news, Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has stated that he is ready to do everything possible to ensure that the founder and leader of International God's Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim ends up in jail.

According to the outspoken politician, he does not mind using all his resources to ensure that he exposes the criminal deeds of Obinim.

He also added that he is relentless in his fight to expose and have all fake pastors in the country face the full rigours of the law.
