The Ghana Education Service (GES) has taken back its decision and directive to prevent the 13 students who were initially barred from writing the ongoing WASSCE to write.

The GES' decision follows the intervention by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

A statement sighted by YEN.com.gh as issued by the GES said the students are to be allowed into examination centres to write the papers with their colleagues.

The statement, however, maintained that the dismissal of the students from their respective schools still stands hence they are to write their papers and immediately vacate the premises of the schools.

The directive also indicated that the students should only be allowed on to the premises under guardian escort to take their exams

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that that 14 students who were engaged in various indiscipline acts during WAEC’s Integrated Science paper had been dismissed from their schools.

They were also barred from writing the current examination which is expected to end in soon.

In a Press release sighted by YEN.com.gh as issued by the Ghana Education Service (GES) these 14 students were dismissed for indiscipline in the ongoing West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
