Akua GMB recognised as outstanding woman; wins at GOWA 20

Sally Akua Amoakoaa, popularly known as Akua GMB, has been recognised at the 2020 edition of the Ghana Outstanding Women Awards (GOWA).
She was given a special award and Akua cannot keep calm over this, knowing how hardworking she has been to deserve such recognition.
Akua shared the award to her Instagram page with an emotional caption that got many people consoling her. She wrote that Grace was speaking on her behalf while thanking the organisers of the award for the recognition.

Many people have reacted to her post.
Kumawood actress Matilda Asare, for instance, said the award was a compensation for all that Akua had been through:

Akua GMB has trended for issues surrounding her marriage. Some people even speculate that her marriage with billionaire Dr Kwaku Oteng was over.
For some reasons that are still unknown, she has been stripped off her role as the General Manager of Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN), and that position has been handed over to Stacy Amoateng.
Akua was recently seen promoting her productions on TV Africa, ignoring her husband’s ABN.
