Nana Ama McBrown stuns Emelia Brobbey with fluent French (Video)

Popular and affable actress, Nana Ama McBrown, has shown another side of her speaking French in a conversation with colleague actress Emelia Brobbey.

McBrown was being interviewed by her colleague who started speaking French.

She was narrating how she used to drive from Ghana to Ivory Coast to trade. Emelia admired the fact that McBrown drove by herself all the way to that country.

She then asked McBrown if she could speak French as she had heard many people saying that she speaks that language too.

McBrown then responded to the question speaking in French. She spoke so fluently as if she had lived in a Francophone country for a long time before.

Emelia Brobbey also spoke French turning their conversation from Twi to French.

Stunned, Brobbey could only say: “Nana Ama, you are so versatile. You are able to do everything. How do you do it? You are so full of surprises.”

McBrown answered her by saying she had to learn very hard and to experience many things in life, adding that you don't only learn lessons from the classroom.

She said life was not easy for her growing up, and recounted how she lived in a large compound house sharing one bathroom and one toilet with over fifty people.

She added that at a point, she had to leave the compound house with her parents to go live in an uncompleted building. Therefore, she was bent on learning things by herself.

Meanwhile, Nana Ama McBrown had revealed some time ago that she could not even acquire the Basic Certificate Examination (BECE) for basic schools because she did not get to that level.

In that story published by YEN.com.gh, McBrown disclosed that her parents were poor and could not afford to pay her fees, therefore, she had to drop out of school to focus on other things.

Today, she speaks English so fluently and has starred in both English-speaking and Akan-speaking movies.
