The National Organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joshua Akamba, has revealed that he is ready to go any length legally to ensure that the NDC wins the 2020 elections.

According to him, if going all out meant loosing his life, then so be it.

His comment resonates with the party’s flagbearer John Dramani Mahama’s call on supporters to be vigilant during the polls.

Speaking on Akoma FM on Thursday, October 8, 2020, he said, “as the National Organizer for NDC, I can tell you that our future depends on this year’s election because of the bad leadership we are faced with”.

“So I can assure you that some of us are prepared to sacrifice our lives for Ghana to liberate the country from the clutches of Akufo-Addo’s bad leadership,” he said.

He further explained that some people who have been badly hit by the NPP’s bad policies like the banking clean-up, have already died so if he dies to turn this country’s fortune around, he believes it’s in line.

In other news, the Chairperson of Ghana's Electoral Commission (EC), Jean Mensa has indicated her willingness and readiness to ensure a free, fair and peaceful 2020 general elections.

Madam Mensa, in a reported sighted by YEN.com.gh on Pulse.com.gh, said she would ensure that the elections are not rigged in any party's favour.

According to her, she will oversee a very credible and transparent election.
