US elections: Nigerian artist paints stunning portrait of Donald Trump in agbada

A Nigerian artiste identified as Peter Udoakang has made a portrait of President Donald Trump in agbada, a flowing robe worn by Yoruba men.

The portrait of the United States president and candidate of the Republican Party in the presidential election was hung on a wall in a posh eatery in Lagos state, Reuters reports.

YEN.com.gh notes that the 23-year-old artist said he painted President Trump to bring him closer to Nigerians.

Udoakang said President Trump’s “radical” approach to governing appealed to Nigerians, who are used to working hard in a tough economy to survive.

Apart from Udoakang who spoke highly of the US president, a driver identified as Michael Onyeonoro said Nigeria needs a leader like President Trump.

He said:

“If we have a person like Trump...Nigeria will be a better place to stay. There will be no need of going outside the country.”
