Zanetor Rawlings' NPP contender for MP suspends campaign for 7 days after her father's death

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Korle Klottey Constituency, Prince Appiah Debrah who is running against the daughter of former President Jerry John Rawlings has announced a week-long suspension of his campaign in honour of the former President.
Former President Jerry John Rawlings, who is the founder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020, at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
His daughter, Zanetor Agyemang Rawlings, is the main contender of Prince Appiah Debrah, who has just suspended his campaign.

As also reported, former President John Dramani Mahama and the leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reacted to the news of Former President Jerry John Rawlings' death.
Jerry John Rawlings, who passed away on the morning of November 12, 2020, was the founder of the NDC which has produced presidents such as the late John Evans Atta Mills and John Dramani Mahama.
In a swift response sighted by YEN.com.gh on the live coverage by GHOne TV, John Dramani Mahama cut short his campaign that was ongoing at Obuasi in the Ashanti Region.
In other news, Rawlings left behind his wife Nana Konadu Agyeman, and four children
Zanetor Rawlings, Yaa Asantewaa Rawlings, Amina Rawlings, and Kimathi Rawlings.
Jerry John Rawlings was born on 22 June 1947. He was a former Ghanaian military leader who ruled Ghana from 1981 to 1992 as Head of State.
He was then democratically elected President of Ghana in 1992 and served till 2000.
