Georgina Ankrah: Disabled mom with special child receives huge donation and cash from charity

- A mother of two living with a disability, Georgina Yawa Ankrah, has received a donation in cash and other useful items from the De-Graft Johnson Foundation

- The items include a mattress, Nasco TV, bedspreads, ceiling fan, carpet, buckets, toiletries, a phone, adult pampers, and an undisclosed amount of money

- De-Graft Johnson Foundation made the disclosure in a Facebook post

Georgina Yawa Ankrah, a mother of two living with a disability, has received a donation in cash and other items from De-Graft Johnson Foundation.

The 40-year-old ailing mother whose second child is also suffering from Down Syndrome, shared her heart-rending story as she appealed for financial help to care for her child in a story on Joy News.

As reported previously by YEN.com.gh, the Rebecca Foundation stepped in to donate in support of Ankrah.

De-Graft Johnson Foundation has followed-up with another kind gesture as the charity has supplied her with useful items and an undisclosed amount to make her life comfortable.

In a post on social media, the foundation said, ''Today, March 12, 2021, the De-Graft Johnson Show paid a visit again to Madam Georgina Nyawa. We donated a new bed, new mattress, brand new Nasco TV, bedspreads, new ceiling fan, carpet, buckets, toiletries, a brand new phone, adult pampers, an undisclosed amount of money, etc to her to aid her cope with life. We through this want to express our profound gratitude to all those who support what we do in diverse ways. God richly bless you and your families. I bless my young team who work tirelessly to make things happen.''

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh earlier reported that a multi-talented Ghanaian artisan, Bernard Nii Nartey, has been creating beautiful furniture and sound systems from used car tyres and other sustainable materials.

Popularly known as 'Our Day' within the environs of Tema in the Greater Accra Region, Agyiri disclosed that he had a good time selling and serving children.

Speaking in an interview with SVTV Africa, the father of nine revealed he has been to every school in Tema.
