Hotel Guests Demand Refund As Rooms Turn Into 'Swimming Pool' After Heavy Downpour in Video

Guests at a hotel in Ibadan were confronted with a natural disaster after a heavy downpour as water flooded their rooms.

Gathering in the compound of the hotel, the guests said they would collect all the money they have paid for their rooms.

They should not be asking for refund

The flooding was as heavy outside as it was inside. A part of the video shared on Instagram by Oyo Affairs showed the properties in the room swimming in water.

The incident happened at Cosmos Hotel in Ajibode area of Ibadan. Some people who commented on the video faulted the people's demand for a refund.

Family saved from flooding

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the dedication of fire service officers in America saved the life of a family in a situation that could have turned fatal.

In a video posted on Instagram, a father and his two daughters had to climb the roof of the family's car to stay afloat during heavy flooding.

The officers surrounded the car as the current of the flood remained strong. With a high sense of carefulness, they took the children from their father.

After the kids were in safe hands, the man disembarked from the car's top as he was aided inside the water.

Flood causes chaos in Owerri

In similar news, heavy rainfall in Owerri, Imo state, recently wreaked havoc as a Range Rover was submerged by floodwater in a gutter.

The video of the luxury car in the gutter was shared on Instagram by @instablogja, which disclosed that the incident happened at Wetheral Junction in the Imo state capital.
