Pastor dies after 30 days of dry fasting
Popular South African pastor, Alfred Ndlovu has been reported dead after he attempted to fast without food and water for 40 days. He died of malnutrition following a dry fasting that lasted for 30 days

Just as the story of Jesus during His 40-day fast, the 44-year-old pastor is reported to have left all possessions behind in search of a spiritual encounter with God.

His body was thus found in the wilderness by a stranger who alerted family and friends as well as the police. As sad as the story may sound, the late Alfred Ndlovu who left for the wilderness on June 17, leaves so many questions unanswered. First being whether or not the fasting was worth it in the first place.
