Nana Ama McBrown celebrates birthday with special yam cake (Video)

Actress Nana Ama McBrown is making the headlines again with her birthday cake.
Far away from the flour, icing sugars, and baking powder, the actress chose a special cake for her 42nd birthday.
The cake was made of yam, the local Akan food called “etor” which is mainly eaten ceremonially on birthdays and during other rites like puberty.

It was also laced with groundnuts all over, and the actress could not hide her joy with friends and family around.
Together, they sang the ceremonial 'happy birthday' song for her, after which she started talking about the yam cake.
Her husband, Maxwell Mensah, was seen happy for his dear wife as they hugged intermittently.

The choice of cake and Nana Ama’s demeanour have impressed her fans who could not stop talking about her.
Janye, for instance, said McBrown is lovely in her own way:

Vero was also happy about Maxwell’s demeanour in celebrating her wife this time. He had been in the news for looking timid, making people say he was being forced to love McBrown:

There are many of such messages which show how much Nana Ama McBrown is deeply loved by Ghanaians.
She was in the news recently for sharing her struggle to childbirth.
According to her, she has never had an abortion in her life, and for 22 years, kept asking God for a child.
In this year, however, McBrown welcomed her first child, a baby girl, much to her delight and that of Ghanaians.
