BET-award-winning rapper Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known as Sarkodie, made a generous gesture towards fans he encountered in Kumasi.

The Sarkcess Music record label CEO is gearing towards his highly anticipated Rapperholic Homecoming concert set to be held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
Shatta Wale, Efya Nocturnal, Gyakie, Medikal, Lasmid, Kofi Kinaata, Kweku Smoke and Jay Bhad are among numerous high-profile musical acts who are expected to mount the stage and deliver exciting performances at the event.
In recent weeks, Sarkodie and his team have embarked on a media tour to generate buzz for the concert he announced in July.
The rapper previously visited the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace to receive his permission to host the star-studded concert a few months ago.
Sarkodie's team sprays cash on Kumasi fans
On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, Sarkodie embarked on a peace float with HRM Sariki Abass Giwa, Star Zee, Angel Town, Asafo Powers and his team on the streets of Kumasi.

The rapper and his entourage received a rousing reception from numerous residents, who joined the walk to promote the upcoming Rapperholic Homecoming concert.
After the event ended successfully, Sarkodie decided to imitate his close friend and business partner, Shatta Wale, by showing his appreciation to the fans for their massive turnout for the peace walk with some financial compensation.
In a video shared by blogger Vimbuzz TV, bundles of cash rained on the fans as the BET award-winning rapper made his exit in a luxurious Toyota Land Cruiser.

Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh speaks on Rapperholic concert promotion
Speaking to YEN.com.gh, entertainment analyst Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh shared his thoughts on Sarkodie's promotional tactics for his upcoming Rapperholic Homecoming concert in Kumasi.
He said:
"Sarkodie has done more than enough since the week of the event. He has maximised all promotional tools and done everything possible to make it one of the most publicised events in Ghana."

Sarkodie responds to NSA boss's caution
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Sarkodie had responded to the caution from the National Sports Authority over the use of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the Rapperholic Homecoming concert.
In a social media post, the rapper shared that his event would not extend to the football pitch and also assured the NSA boss, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, that he and his team would comply with the rules.
