The news of the Radio Gold mid-morning show host was announced by his colleague and former actor, Henry Kodjo Agbai, on Sunday, September 28, 2025.

George Clifford Owusu was a veteran journalist who served as the entertainment editor at Daily Guide.
On Saturday, November 30, 2024, he was honoured with the Best Entertainment Journalist/Blogger Award at the Musicians’ Organisation Global (MUSIGLO) event held at the Prestige Suite Hotel in Osu, Accra.
