Dumsor: ECG Shares Areas to Be Hit By Maintenance Power Cuts in Parts of Ghana On August 7

  • The Electricity Company of Ghana announced planned maintenance works affecting some parts of the Western Region
  • ECG issued a notice on August 6, 2026, saying the exercise is aimed at improving service delivery in affected communities

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced planned maintenance works in parts of the Western Region that will result in temporary power interruptions on August 7.

The power distributor issued notices on August 6, stating that the exercise is meant to improve its services.

Per the notice on Facebook, power cuts are scheduled to run from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

The affected areas include:

  • Ahenkofi
  • Naval Base
  • European Town
  • RCC
  • Prisons
  • Ketan
  • Effia Nkwanta Hospital
  • Fijai
  • Nkroful
  • Ntankoful
  • Mt. Zion
  • Old Soldier
  • BU
  • Adiembra
  • Ekuase
  • Nkontompo
  • Essikado
