"To make the matter worse, someone took advantage of one of Karimi's daughters and she delivered a child who is physically challenged," Olive told TUKO.co.ke in an interview.
"Their roots are from Kathageri and her husband kicked her out because he couldn't believe that he could sire mentally challenged kids," said the Embu county resident.

Olive also established that the four needed to clear house rent in 6-months arrears.

Landlord wants to throw Karimi out

"The landlord was threatening to lock them out, I started a group to help raise funds for building them a house," she explained.
"Building was a better long-term solution and giving their mother something or getting a place for her to work to feed the girls would also go a long way. At 60, Karimi is, however, too old to go to menial jobs," she opined.

Olive started building the house with the money she got from the group, and it was almost done when she ran out of cash.

"We only need KSh 50,000 (GH¢3,994.65) to complete the house. These kids will have a place to call home and at least a place where they can come out of the house; they can't do so at their current home and their mother has to lock them inside every time," she said.
