Man Pays Over GH¢430K To Get Canadian Travel Documents, Discovers It Is Fake: "Direct Work Visa"

A man who paid N30 million (GH¢437,476) for a direct work visa to Canada was disappointed after discovering an agent played a fast one on him.

The painful story of how the man lost such a huge amount was shared on TikTok by a travel advisor, Grandma Shasha.

Shasha shared an image of the visa, which she insisted was fake, and showed people how to spot the difference from a genuine Canadian visa.

She said a visa agent did a dirty job, taking the client's money without delivering as expected.

Her words:

"An agent scammed a client of N30 million (GH¢437,476) for this direct work visa."

Netizens who saw the video marvelled at the amount the man lost to scammers who promised him a Canadian visa.

Meanwhile, Angela Sarpong, a Ghanaian living in Canada, said she applied for her visa on her own without the help of any agent.

Angela said she applied for her Canadian visa after she read the requirements and ensured she met them all.

According to her, she was not keen on travelling but was only trying her luck when she got the visa.
