Woman Laments as Friend Sends Her Itemised Bill of GH¢6,200 After Spending Week at Her House

• The bill even includes the money spent on feeding her husband as he celebrated his birthday at the host's house

A woman who spent a week at her friend's house was dumbfounded when she received a bill indicating that she owed the host money.

The two women, now in their 50s, have known each other and remained friends since they were six.

The host came up with a visit idea

When she received an invite that she could visit together with her husband, she figured it was a free stay, given the history between them.

The woman shared her grievances on Reddit, lamenting it was not her idea to visit but rather an invite by the said friend.

They did some sightseeing during their stay, including a stay in another city, with the friend seemingly happy to cater for the expenses.

Since her husband turned 50 during the stay, the host even offered to throw him a birthday party, which she gladly agreed to.

Woman charged GH¢6,200

It, therefore, came as a surprise when she received an itemised bill indicating that she owed the host a whopping GH¢6,200.

The bill she received showed she owed $152 ( GH¢1,700) for the hotel stay, $105 ( GH¢1,200) for fuel used on driving them around, and $90 ( GH¢1,000) for the food at her husband's birthday party.

Other charges included $136 ( GH¢1,500) for car rental, $6.50 ( GH¢75) for parking in the city, and $27 ( GH¢3,00) for airport parking, an amount that came to GH¢6,200 in total.

"I would have given them a couple hundred to cover the hotel room and birthday food, but actually asking us to pay for the gas to drive us around and parking is ridiculous," she complained.
