Kojo Brace stirred speculation after sharing an artwork on Facebook on Thursday, August 20, 2026, which many social media users interpreted as a campaign poster.
The artwork featured the red, white and blue colours associated with the NPP, prompting questions about whether the television presenter was preparing to contest the party's parliamentary primaries.
NDC communicator asks Kojo Brace to quit journalism
Reacting to the development, Richard Kirk-Mensah, the Western Regional Communications Director of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), said Kojo Brace should step down from his broadcasting role if he had decided to enter mainstream politics.
"Samuel Kojo Brace since you have made a bold decision to do open politics you must vacate your position as a political host," he wrote.
Kojo Brace fuels speculation about Multimedia exit
In response, Kojo Brace appeared to suggest that he may have already left his role at Multimedia Group to pursue his political ambitions.
"Richard Kirk-mensah at least, you know me to be one intelligent young man who knows what time is best to undertake any endeavor.
Before you typed this, I expected you to have paused to ask yourself, could he have done this without leaving? I haven’t seen him on screen this whole week, could it mean he’s left? Senior man, you know me too well. Feel free to join the movement: AHANTA PELE," he replied.
His response has further intensified speculation that the journalist could soon make his political ambitions official.
The Ahanta West constituency is currently represented in Parliament by Mavis Kuukua Bissue of the governing NDC.
Bissue is serving her first term as the constituency's Member of Parliament and is the first woman to represent Ahanta West in Parliament.
