Will Rashford leave Man United?

The England star has been a regular since he broke into the first team in 2016, but his form in the last two years has been poor.

In an interview with journalist Henry Winter, the 27-year-old has admitted he is ready for a move away from his boyhood club.

"For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps," he told Winter.
"When I leave it's going to be 'no hard feelings'. You're not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That's me as a person.

He also commented on Amorim leaving him out of the squad for the Manchester derby.

"It's disheartening to be left out of a derby but it's happened, we won the game so let's move on," he said. "It's disappointing but I'm also someone as I've got older I can deal with setbacks. What am I going to do about it? Sit there and cry about it. Or do my best the next time I'm available."

The England international is in his 10th season at Old Trafford. He has registered 138 and 63 assists in 426 appearances, per Transfermarkt.

Rashford played 125 matches under Mourinho between 2016 and 2019 and registered 28 goals and 18 assists.

During an appearance on Sky Sports, Mourinho shared his thoughts on Rashford's best position at the club.

"I do not think he is a pure nine...As a number nine I don't think he has the 30 goals a season in him. I don't think he can get better as a target man. To be better as a target man is difficult for him," Mourinho said via GOAL.

The former Man United boss showered the winger with praises in 2018.

“Marcus is a fantastic boy. He is also very grounded and, for sure, we love him, and we believe in him and he’s going to have the chances to keep developing.”
