The outspoken former GFA official went even further, comparing the act to reckless military planning.

“Which military in the history of mankind has been so foolish as to announce the reduction of the salaries of soldiers before a war? The timing of the Black Stars’ budget was completely needless.”

His sentiments found backing from Dr. Kwame Baah Nuakoh, Chairman of the GFA Club Licensing Committee, who questioned why the budget had to be revealed even before Ghana's game on Thursday afternoon.

“I don’t think the Black Stars budget was sent to the Sports Minister this week. He could have presented it at a different time. Imagine we lose the match against Chad — what will people be discussing, the budget or the loss?”
