- The young masked future Anas was captured in a group photo with some of his classmates
A young boy has wowed many people on social media during his school’s career day as he ‘dared’ to be different and chose to go to school as a young version of award-winning investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
In a school’s career day group photo that has since gone viral across all social media platforms, the young Anas caught the eye of many people despite being surrounded by future lawyers, doctors and even a pilot.
The young boy whose identity is unknown – just like the investigative journalist – was seen in his trademark mask made up of beads and had on his cap to hide his face.
It is still to be ascertained what informed his decision to go to school dressed as the top-notch journalist whose main objective is to name and shame corrupt Ghanaians.
For many children of that age, it would seem normal to go to school on career day dressed as a lawyer, doctor, teacher or even an astronaut but to go dressed as Anas Aremeyaw Anas on a normal day, is something that would definitely gain attention.
Many people who have seen the photo have shared it widely and commended the young boy and whoever motivated him to go to school as ‘Anas’.
Some people are of the view that it is a wake-up call for the young generation who would not want to put up with corrupt elements in the society.
Anas Aremeyaw Anas, has made a name for himself by coming out with explosive investigative and undercover reports that have sought to expose corrupt officeholders.
Among his work include exposing corruption of CEPS officials, judges in Ghana and galamsey operations. His latest work target the high and mighty in the field of football in Ghana and it was dubbed ‘Number 12’.
His identity still remains unknown despite efforts by some members of the society to unmask him and expose him to public ridicule due to his mode of operation.
