Just as everyone is born in different ways, all of us will not act in the same way either. The underlying principle that explains why people react to situations the way they do is what temperament is all about. So, you can begin to understand why children born by the same mother will react to issues in different ways.

It is also probable that you see some people fearful, easily depressed and even get angry at the slightest offence. On the contrary, some others will merely look at the same events and take it off as though nothing had happened in the first place. More so, while you see some people who are sociable, outgoing and so lively, you will see some others who seem to be so reserved and shy. All of these explain various temperaments at play.

Interestingly, when each person understands their temperament, it becomes easy to improve on their behaviour. It also arms everyone with the information they need on how to relate with others and even how productive they will end up becoming.

Apart from these, an understanding of the temperament traits of others will help them to know how best to communicate with them. When parents have this understanding, for instance, they will know how best to handle their children in a more productive way. Related to this is the fact that when teachers also understand these temperament traits, they will be able to design the best methods with which they can communicate with their students.
