Nigerian soldier cries as girlfriend secretly marries while he fought Boko Haram

A Nigerian soldier, Emmy Benison, has been left heartbroken after his longtime girlfriend jilted him to marry another man.

According to Benison, he and the lady in question had dated for about four years and had plans of being together in the future.

But it so happened that he had to be away on a mission for about two years without coming (we all know about the Nigerian Army's war with Boko Haram).

While away, Benison revealed, he had always hoped of coming back home to make his girlfriend happy and smiling once again.

However, Benison has had his hopes dashed after waking up on Sunday to find pictures of his supposed sweetheart having been married to another man.

For Benison, the most painful thing was the fact that the girlfriend never called for a breakup after realising that she could not wait anymore.

The heartbroken soldier who shared his story on Instagram revealed that though he cried after seeing the photos, he has had to move on especially because there is no room for a heartbreak on the battle field.
