UEW students and alumni march to demand VC’s sacking

Some students and alumni of the University of Education, Winneba, (UEW) have reportedly taken to the streets to demand the sacking of the university’s vice-chancellor, Rev. Prof Anthony Afful-Broni.

YEN.com.gh understands that demonstrators have argued that some sacked lecturers of the university ought to be reinstated.

Some of the placards held by the protestors read: ‘Bring Back Our Lecturers’, ‘President Akufo-Addo Act Now’, ‘Afful-Broni Y’abre wo’ and ‘VC Must Go.’

At the end of the protest walk, the demonstrators, under the name, Concerned Students and Alumni of UEW, presented a petition to the Central regional minister, Kwamena Duncan.
