Shutdown of radio stations: Okudzeto Ablakwa under ‘attack’ for praising Kufuor
The Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has been subjected to a barrage of attacks on social media.
This comes after he praised former president John Agyekum Kufuor for deciding not to shut down Radio Gold during his tenure, even though their license had expired.
His message followed the decision of the National Communications Authority (NCA) to shut down Radio and Radio XYZ.

His message did not go down well with some social media users, who expressed their opinions on it:
Jehoshaphat expressed his disappointment in the MP's message
To Gharbin, Ablakwa's thinking was mediocre
Jabulani asked if Ablakwa has more wisdom than the NCA
Yaw argued that each institution has a specific mandate in Ghana
Boakye advised that Ghanaians need to think about the progress of the country
Dee was surprised the MP is happy the right thing was not done
Dominic also disagreed with him, saying it was wrong to overlook the actions of wrongdoers
