It would appear the poor performance during lovemaking that some men exhibit may be down to cigarette smoking as the activity is suspected to lower men's ability to experience optimal erection.
New research out there shows men who cannot achieve either optimal erection or longevity maintaining it may have to reassess their lives especially if they are habitual cigarette smokers.
According to Marc Laniado, Harley Street urologist, smoking cigarettes can cause erectile dysfunction and thus seems to “reduce” the length and performance of a man's male member.
Ghanacelebrities.com quotes Laniado as saying: “To have a firm erection, you need sufficient blood flow. Smokers have a higher incidence of artherosclerosis in all blood vessels, including those in the penis, which can reduce blood flow.
“The chemicals in smoke may also have an effect on firmness; nicotine causes blood vessels to become narrow. This can be temporary or – eventually – permanent.”
In a related story on men's health, researchers at Switzerland's Hirslanden Clinic say they have found more bacteria generally in the beards of men than on the fur of dogs.
The study, according Ghanacelebrities.com, compared strands of bacteria found in men’s facial hair to that taken from the fur of dogs.
The study was conducted on 18 men, an admittedly small sample, and 30 breeds of dogs and was designed to find out if men could pick up bacteria from dogs if they used the same MRI at a veterinarian.
The study found all the 18 men who partook as subjects had high microbial counts. 7 men were also found to have bacteria extremely harmful to man.
