Meet DJ Zel, the 9-year-old Ghanaian DJ making the nation proud in UK (Photos)

UK-based Ghanaian prodigy, DJ Zel, has carved a niche for herself with her djing skills.

DJ Zel has set sight on making Ghana proud with her djing talent.

The nine-year old is the youngest Disk Jockey (DJ) to play on radio in the United Kingdom and she currently hosts the UniAfrik Show on GN Radio based in the UK every Saturday from 10pm - 12am.

According to DJ Zel, she is delighted about realizing her dream of playing on radio as she seeks to entertain and make people happy.

''My dream is to make Ghana proud of my works. I took up to Djing because I wanted to entertain people and I love to make people happy all the time,” she told YEN.com.gh.

''It's been challenging being the youngest DJ playing on radio, am ready for the challenge and working hard to make my brand unique."

She also revealed her plans of working with DJ Switch, another young Ghanaian DJ as they open a new chapter in dJing.

''I'm proud of what DJ Switch is doing for Ghana, I can't wait to meet her and learn new things and make Ghana proud of us.

''I have plans with my management team, Zel Promotions, to work with DJ Switch, DJ Arch Jnr from South Africa, Success and Emmanuella from Nigeria, on an advocacy project to help curb infighting and violent behavior among youth in the African communities here in the UK,'' she added.

DJ Zel announced plans to visit Ghana in July as she embarks on an advocacy initiative on environmental education and other charity works.

DJ Zel at her age has displayed her talent on big stages in the UK, most recently at the UnAfrik Live Jam in Leicester among others.
