Member of Parliament for Gomoa East Constituency, Kojo Asemanyi has been up in trends over a viral video capturing him doing sexually suggestive dance moves with two women.
As part of the Ahobaakese festival celebrated by the chiefs and people of Gomoa Fetteh, the MP joined in the Atopa dance known to them as Akosualontoba to be filled with the spirit of the festival.
He was seen in a video showcasing his expertise in the dance which was captured by some media persons at the event and has thus been given different interpretations.
Most people are calling for an outright ban on the dance because they believe it is not morally acceptable.
In the video, the lawmaker is seen busily and happily 'grinding' one woman as the other holds his waist to get the task executed.
However, the Queen Mother of Gomoa Fetteh, Nana Abena Owusu has explained that in the olden days, wives in the community performed the dance to welcome their spouses back home from war.
In other news, the Municipal Chief Executive(MCE) for Yendi, Alhaji Hammed Abubakari Yussif has stated that, a US national seeking to establish a factory in his Municipality does not look like someone who can walk his talk.
According to Alhaji Yussif, he does not sound convincing enough because he does not own a car of his own.
The MCE said anytime the man visited his area on issues related to the establishment the factory, he never showed up his own car but rather showed up in a rented tricycle popularly referred to as 'pragya'.
