Local barber who became radio presenter now graduates from university

Micheal Boateng who was once a local barber has journeyed on in life to become a radio presenter and has recently been gowned as a university graduate.

Affectionately called Mike 2, the hardworking man has graduated from the African University College of Communication (AUCC).

Mike 2 has become popular when he left his usual day job to become a host of Entertainment Hall, a show on Adom FM. This alone was a milestone but clearly, the relentless Mike did not decide to settle just there.

According to Adomonline.com, Mike had to settle as a barber after high school when life became tough for him. By then, he had graduated from Abetifi Technical Senior High School (SHS).

Prior to SHS education, Michael attended Tema Community 2 Corporative L/A and then L/A Junior High School in Kwahu.

Michael's studied business in high school and had to become a barber and at some point a taxi driver. He always had a deep interest for radio as well as Disc Jockeying.

It was the interest and his tireless efforts that led him to become a radio presenter. The story of Mike 2 goes to prove that no matter where life begins for anyone, it is possible to rise to any height desired with hard work and commitment.

Many people keep striving to overcome negative life situations.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that a lady prisoner from Sierra Leone won a beauty pageant that was held for prisoners all over the country.

BBC reported on their Focus on Africa programme that the contestants all looked well-fed, happy and excited.

Out of 10 contestants that were selected from prisons across the country, eight were imprisoned for manslaughter.
