In an interview on YEN.com.gh' s Star Gist, Samini revealed that after he had gone through all the processes to have an interactive session with both the students and teachers, the Headmaster, whose name was given as , Richard Kofi Mensah, prevented him because of his dreadlocks.
The embarrassing incident happened today, December 18, 2019, when the 'Obaa' hitmaker went to the school as part of the activities towards the buildup of his annual Saminifest concert
According to Samini, the visit was to have a chat with the youth in the school on how important it is to take their education seriously and also educate them on issues about the Creative Arts Industry.
Samini is currently on a media tour and used the opportunity to visit the SHS around Dansoman to promote his Saminifest event which will take place on Saturday , December 21, 2019 at the Dansoman Highstreet.
"The headmaster of Ebenezer Senior High School decided that because of my dreadlocks, I Samini, I am not fit to come and speak to the students of Ebenezer Senior High School which is in Dansoman, about five minutes away from my mother’s house. Am doing my school tour in Dansoman so I went through my own school which is Saint Margret Mary, went through the technical school, the vocational school and then decided to visit Ebenezer Senior high school as well."
"Meanwhile we had sent a prior notice to the school to speak to the students about education and the arts. This is part of the activities towards my Concert this year," Samini stated.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Samini has joined in the celebration of famers as the nation marks the 2019 Farmers' Day in Volta Region.
December 6, 2019, was set aside to celebrate and reward farmers across the country for their hard work towards the growth of the country.
Samini, in an Instagram post sighted by YEN.com.gh, said he has a rice farm at Wa in the Northern where he visited recently to help in the harvesting.
