Depression: MzVee recounts sad story of how her condition affected her relationship

Born Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda and popularly known in showbiz cycles as MzVee, the Ghanaian dance-hall artiste has sadly recounted how she lost her boyfriend when she fell into serious depression.

According to MzVee she could not hold on to him anymore despite trying all she could.

She made this known while speaking in an interview with Accra-based Hitz FM.

“I was, I lied about it for some time and then we broke up, I guess it was because of the lies. God doesn’t like lies. But I’m single now. It was one of the relationships I destroyed just because I was in a bad place. I let go of him too”.

She indicated that she didn’t want to talk about her depression because of what Ghanaians will say about her saying “

Ghanaian female singer MzVee, recently opened up for the first time about why she took a long break from music.

The 'Come and See My Moda' hitmaker in an interview monitored by YEN.com.gh, said she had a mental breakdown which left her super depressed for two years over matters of relationship and family.

“For about two years say 2017, 2018, I was super depressed. Super super depressed.” she told Berla Mundi and was asked what made her depressed, she added that “it was just things happening personally and it happened to affect my relationship with work," MzVee said.

“It was really tough but Efya, I’ve always looked up to her, she’s become like a big sis so she’s one person who really helped me,” the 'Bend Down' singer said.
