The biggest problem in Ghana is finding work for young people - Akufo-Addo

- President Akufo-Addo has opened up about one of Ghana's biggest challenges being unemployment, and has revealed what he is doing to solve it

- According to him, the solution cannot just be getting employed in the public sector but also seeking to do something for oneself

President Akufo-Addo has opened up about one of Ghana's biggest challenges being unemployment, and has revealed what he is doing to solve it.

Speaking to China Global Television Network group (CGTN)’s Tian Wei at the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Akufo-Addo stated that he is constantly seeking to create employment opportunities for the youth in Ghana.

According to him, the solution cannot just be getting employed in the public sector but also seeking to do something for oneself.

“…the biggest issue for our country and indeed the continent of Africa is finding work for our young people. As you know Africa is the youngest continent in the world, in terms of the population.

“So, the solution cannot just be public sector work, it has to be private sector development, and that means entrepreneurship. So, we’re putting a lot of emphasis on young people to become entrepreneurs, so that they can work for themselves and create jobs for others.” President Akufo-Addo said.

President Akufo-Addo disclosed that one of such endeavours was what brought the Jack Ma to Ghana to help develop ideas for entrepreneurship to help develop th private sector

In other news, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bulldog has described President Nana Akufo-Addo and his Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia as liars.

According to the artiste manager, the Akufo-Addo administration is the worst government Ghana has over seen or had.

The showbiz pundit also described the Vice President of the republic as the “hype man” or President Nana Addo.
