The most followed celebrity in the world is soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo, who is followed by an incredible 200 million people online.
He reportedly earns around $47.8 million per year from paid-Instagram posts. YEN.com.gh gathered a list of the celebrities following close behind to compile a top 10 of the most-followed celebs in the world.

1. Cristiano Ronaldo
The 34-year-old Juventus player can demand up to $1 million (GHC 5,335,003.01) to post sponsored content, according to Forbes. He makes over $47.8 million on Instagram annually.
2. Ariana Grande
Popular singer Ariana Grande follows close behind him with 173 million followers. The singer has a wide reach on both Instagram and Twitter due to her fan interaction.

3. Dwayne Johnson
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has 170 million followers. The famous actor is extremely popular, with fans from both his wrestling days and his blockbuster movies.

The former Disney star previously topped the list but has now been booted to fourth position with 167 million followers.
5. Kylie Jenner
The billionaire reality star has surpassed her sister and reached 160 million followers. She posts often and keeps her young followers on their toes - or in this case, fingertips.

Queen Bey comes in at number eight with 140 million followers - which is a huge number for a celeb who barely interacts with fans.
