Ohemaa, an expectant mother has died on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, during delivery at the hospital.

The late expectant mother lived a horse-like life as a hawker while heavily pregnant because of her deprived background.

Ohemaa was compelled to hawk petty products in order to provide for herself and her unborn child. Despite her daily struggles to make little money to fend for herself, she could not afford to pay her medical bills for antenatal services.

Prior to her death, Ohemaa received financial support from Crime Check Foundation to pay for her medical bills.

Despite the massive help she received, she died during delivery at the hospital on Tuesday, February 25, 2020.

''It is unacceptable in this time and age for a woman to die whiles giving birth. But when poverty pushes a woman who is 9 months pregnant to sell in the scorching sun to cater for her needs, how many times will she be able to attend ante natal services? We did our best for Ohemaa when we discovered her plight on the streets. We gave her money for ante natal and bought all she needed. She will call many times to say thank you, not knowing she was bidding us goodbye. She died with her baby yesterday after delivery. RIP Ohemaa!,'' Crime Check Foundation said in a post on Facebook

Ohemaa’s death has evoked heart-breaking tributes online.

Tina Gold wrote: ''She has suffered too much, and was exhausted. Stress, Anxiety blending with excitement, the pressure was too much for her to endure .''

Muslim Hawa said: ''This is sad. In her interview, I remembered how she was all about her children who were already schooling. This is sad Ohemaa. I pray you didn't die with the desire and aspirations of your children. I pray you died with their weakness so they will be strong in your absence.''

''My heart is broken. I was happy reading from the beginning but never knew it ended in tears. May their souls rest peacefully,'' Erams Ray Nigelba wrote.

Atuobi-Yiadom Boakye Mensah commented: ''But MPs are enjoying FREE scholarships meant for the needy on top of their fat monthly allowances, pay, connections and percentages. God will ask them all ... may Her soul find Rest .''

In other stories, YEN.com.gh previously reported that a beautiful couple has recently evoked endearing comments after they were videoed in a moment of powerful worship at their wedding ceremony.

The less than three-minute footage opens with the groom, identified only as Jenkins, slowly going down on his knees to join his bride, who was on her knees worshiping.

Wedding attendees at the couple's nuptials could also be seen and heard singing along with the couple who seemed ‘Holy Spirit’ struck while on their knees.
