President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has finally paid a visit to the first president of the fourth republic, Jerry John Rawlings, to commiserate with him on the death of his mother.

He visited the family of the late Madam Victoria Agbotui in the company of some dignitaries including the chief of staff, Madam Frema Opare.

In a Facebook post sighted by YEN.com.gh, he wrote, The loss of a mother is always a special moment in the life of any person, as I can testify myself. I wish Madam Victoria Agbotui the very best of peace in the bosom of the Almighty until the Last Day of the Resurrection when we shall all meet again.

In other news, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's campaign train has finally reached his hometown, Kyebi.

As part of the president's tour of the regions to campaign ahead of the 2020 elections, Nana Addo is expected to be touring the Eastern Region for three days.

His first point of call was Kyebi where he comes from.
