Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has paid a courtesy visit to Ghana's President Nana Akufo-Addo as he is currently in Ghana for vacation after a successful campaign.
The winger who is in Ghana for vacation met the President on Monday, June 7, 2021, and presented him with a customised Chelsea jersey.
Hudson-Odoi is a member of the Chelsea team that won the UEFA Champions League last month after a 1-0 victory over English rivals Manchester City.
After a long season, the 19-year-old arrived in Ghana a week ago to take time off as he relaxes ahead of the 2021/22 season.
Hudson-Odoi, son of former Hearts of Oak player, Bismark Odoi was at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday to watch the 'Mantse' derby between Hearts and Great Olympics.
The winger has not ruled out the chance of playing for the Black Stars and his visit to the president has sparked rumours of a possible switch.
He has played three times for England but per FIFA's nee rules, he can still switch nationality.
Hudson-Odoi won the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup with England.
Meanwhile the Ghana Football Association has released a statement on the absence of Thomas Partey from the Black Stars camp ahead of the friendly against Morocco today.
According to the football federation, the Arsenal midfielder asked for permission to be absent on grounds of personal issues.
Earlier on Monday morning news broke that the 27-year-old has been sacked for arriving in camp late.
But the FA said, "Thomas travelled to Cape Coast on Thursday to meet Coach Charles Akonnor over some personal issues.
"After the meeting which lasted for about an hour, the Coach excused him from the trip to Morocco – and asked him to report to camp for the second game against Ivory Coast, the statement on the FA's website continued.
