Yilo Krobo SHS Student Commits Suicide

A 17-year-old student of the Yilo Krobo Senior High School in the Eastern region, Eunice Lartey, has committed suicide

The Senior High School student hanged herself on a mango tree at Somanya in the Yilo district on Thursday around 4pm.

DSP Albert Delatsa, the Somanya Police Commander, who confirmed the incident said Lartey’s remains, has been deposited at the Akuse Government Hospital. He said:

Further checks indicate that the deceased has not been happy since she was transferred from Manya Krobo SHS (MAKROSEC) to the Yilo krobo SHS (Yikrosec) this academic year by her parents.
