NDC Primaries: Dr Zenator Rawlings Wins Korle Klottey Primary
Considering provisional results from seven out of the nine polling stations in the Korle Klottey parliamentary primaries there is the clearest indication that Dr Zanetor Rawlings has beaten her fiercest contender, Nii Armah Ashitey garnering 2403 votes representing 62.22 percent of the votes.
Dr Rawlings nearly suffered being denied voting in the primaries as her name, early on in the day was not shown in the voter's register.
The incumbent MP, Nii Armah Ashietey polled 1348 votes representing 34.90% of votes cast. The third contestant, John Coleman polled only 100 votes, representing 2.5% of the votes.
What this means is that Dr Rawlings, once declared parliamentary candidate for the Korle Klottey elections will lead the party's parliamentary campaign ahead of the 2016 general elections.
The NDC primaries has so far been marred by scores of voter register irregularities as thousands of card bearing members had not their names in the register - developments which emanated to scores of violence and bickering.
