Over 20 Legon students arrested by BNI for attempting to hack academic records system
Twenty students of the university of Ghana have been arrested by the Bureau of National Investigation BNI for hacking the institution’s academic records system.
This was revealed by the university’s vice chancellor, Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu on Sunday during a church service with students.
He opined that the suspects tried to hack into University of Ghana records system (MIS WEB) in order to change their grades

Prof. Owusu however, assured the students and public that the university’s MIS WEB system security is top notch and cannot be easily hacked.
He also urged students to study hard and pass with distinction than to cheat their way to the top. “It is better to fail and resit than to cheat. The resit may be a testimony,” he remarked.
