Just a day earlier, Dumelo had shared items with new senior high school students in Ayawaso West as part of "Week 2" of a wider tour to ensure every child in his constituency benefits from his support.
That donation, which included items sponsored by Ohemaa detergents and Chopbox, drew a wave of public attention and mixed commentary online.

Dumelo donates desks to Roman Ridge school
That same drive to support local schools extended to Roman Ridge M/A Basic School, after Dumelo responded to calls from the school's authorities for new furniture.
On September 1, 2026, he took to X to confirm that he had supplied the school with new desks the previous day, explaining that the old wooden ones had become weak and no longer fit for use.
He wrote:
"Following calls by the school authorities, yesterday I donated school desks to the Roman Ridge M/A Basic School located in Roman Ridge in my cherished Ayawaso West constituency. The old wooden school desks have become weak and not fit for purpose for our kids in the community. Several classrooms have had all their desks replaced."
