A compassionate motorist has been hailed after he helped carry an elderly woman across a busy road in Dingzhou, China.
In a heartwarming video shared by TRT World, the woman was captured looking lost at a zebra crossing, evidently frightened by the speeding vehicles.

Woman was stranded on highway
From the look of things, the woman was disoriented by the busy multi-lane highway, a near-chaotic scene that drew the attention of several motorists.
Sensing that the woman was in distress, one thoughtful driver stopped his vehicle, summoned other motorists to hold then walked over to the stranded woman.
The video shows him lifting the woman with his hands before scuttling across the highway with the vulnerable woman in his arms.
At that moment in time, the kindhearted man became the sole protector to the elderly lady, ensuring that she was out of harm's way.
Motorist praised for his humanity
The heroic act captured on video by a passerby has since gone viral on social media, inspiring millions around the world.

Man helped elderly woman cross street
In an almost similar incident in June last year, a man got out of his car to help an elderly woman cross a street at a traffic signal.
“He got out and left his car at the red light to help this elderly woman walk across the street," read the caption on the clip posted by @ryleigh__savannah.
Ryleigh added that the incident not only made her smile but also gave her hope, which is why she I thought of sharing as inspiration to brighten peoples' days.
