Naa Dedei Tettey, one of Ghana's most recognisable broadcast journalists, has officially departed EIB Network, ending a tenure that stretched across nearly ten years with Starr 103.5 FM and GHOne TV.

The media personality hosted The Morning Starr for the last time on Friday, August 7, 2026, marking the close of a significant chapter in her career.

She announced the development in a Facebook post the following day, sharing a heartfelt message that quickly drew an outpouring of reactions from colleagues, fans, and followers across the country.

She wrote:

"And just like that… we’ve come to the end. On Friday, August 7, 2026, I hosted The Morning Starr on Starr 103.5 FM for the final time - closing a chapter that has been a huge part of my nearly decade-long journey with Starr FM and GHOne TV (EIB NETWORK)."

Naa Dedei Tettey's run on Morning Starr

Naa Dedei Tettey held the distinction of being the first substantive female host of The Morning Starr, a milestone that set her apart within Ghana's competitive radio landscape.

She was also the only female host of an English-language morning show on radio in Accra.

Over her two years at the helm of the breakfast show, Naa Dedei became a familiar voice for listeners tuning in to start their mornings.

Aside from hosting The Morning Starr, she served as Deputy News Editor within the EIB Network’s English Cluster, contributing to editorial direction across Starr FM and GHOne TV.

In her farewell message, she thanked the station's management, her production team, fellow on-air personalities, and the loyal audience that followed the show.

"To the management, my producers, my colleagues and, most importantly, our listeners—thank you for the opportunity, the memories, the lessons and the love," she wrote.
