GMB contestant caught up in theft controversy

The allegation from Schwarzenegger came on the heels of a separate controversy involving the former beauty queen.

Blogger Rande shared a post on X on August 16, 2026, claiming Ohemaa Sappama Angela had been found taking an Abaya lace and a ladies' dress from a market without making payment.

Ghana's Most Beautiful is a celebrated national pageant broadcast on TV3, widely respected for highlighting the cultural diversity and intelligence of Ghanaian women from every region.

The alleged incident drew particular attention given the prestige typically associated with representing one's region on such a platform.

Rande's post captured the mood of many online, reading:

"From Ghana's most beautiful competition to this."

The contrast between the prestige associated with representing a region in a national pageant and being allegedly caught shoplifting basic market goods struck a nerve with a section of the Ghanaian public.
