How Maame Serwaa, Vivian Jill and Salinko fell for mobile money fraudsters
Popular Kumawood star, Vivian Jill Lawrence has cautioned her colleague actresses and the general public to stay vigilant after she was duped by some mobile money fraudsters.

The actress together with Maame Serwaa and Salinko have fallen victims after a mobile money scammer made away with GHc800 from both of them.
In an audio circulating on various social media platforms, Vivian was heard narrating her ordeal as well as issuing advice to the general public.
The actress in an audio voice stated that the scammers seem to have everything well-planned and executed.
Vivian Jill indicated that she came into contact with the fraudsters through Nana Ama Mcbrown who they had contacted for her number to contract her shoot advert for his company located at Spintex Road in Accra.
She said after her conversation with a man who gave his name as Solomon, they agreed to finalized the the deal in Kumasi.

However, on the day he [Solomon] set off from Accra to Kumasi, he called in the middle of his journey to ask that she [Vivian] gives him some money to settle some policemen who had arrested him.
Vivian who was convinced sent Ghc800 which was to be used to settle the Police Officers, but the Solomon called her after some minutes to ask for an extra GHc1,000 which according to Vivian, she did not transfer.
The actress after several hours, said Solomon called back asking for more money to pay a mechanic who claimed he was charging GHc400 for fixing his water tank.
Vivian said it was at that point she released that she had been duped. She then told the said Solomon to rather pick a cab and come to Kumasi where he can withdraw money and pay for his expenses.
The actress indicated that Maame Serwaa has also fallen into same trap and it took the wife of actor Salinko to prevent him from falling victim to same scammers.
