Reports of the young and talented Ghanaian dancehall artist, Ebony Reigns' untimely death has shocked Ghanaians.
The loss of such obvious talent will definitely leave a void that will be hard to fill in Ghana's music industry.
In memory of the late talented songstress, YEN.com.gh put together a a list of some of the late songstress's best songs fans can listen to in her memory.
1. Maame Hwe
The last song the artiste officially released before her untimely demise, Maame Hwe, was hailed as Ebony's response to critics who said she could never make a hit song that had nothing to do with provocative imagery or language. The song was released in December of 2017.
Probably her most controversial song, this song was highly criticized for what some referred to as its ambiguous and suggestive content. Nevertheless, Ghanaians embraced the song for all its worth. After it was officially released in November 2017, the song quickly made it to the top of local charts.
3. Date Ur Fada
This song is perhaps one that best expressed the late celebrated songstress's attitude. Not necessarily because she says she'll date anyone father, but rather because it it expressed Ebony's fierce independence and attitude.
Though opinions may be divided, Ebony's "Sponsor" is probably the song the that clinched her status as one of Ghana's - if not the most - hottest young artists. The song's unique lyrics and angle quickly shot to to the top of the charts and kept it there for a good, long while.
