Scholarships in Ghana to study abroad

The following is a list of the numerous scholarships in Ghana to study abroad.

Institution: Oxford Africa Initiative, United Kingdom

Eligibility: African students. Applicant has completed an appropriate humanities or social science PhD by the start of the fellowship. Specially preferred, are those who have studied or worked with ARUA associated universities or members.

Courses: Visiting Fellowship Program

Scholarship Award: University provides appointed fellows with an en-suite, single residency study room with the host College providing meals. Fellows are granted a temporary University Card for the Senior Common Room affording them a temporary membership for the tenure the residency lasts.

Institution: The University of York, United Kingdom

Eligibility: African students.

Courses: Undergraduate Program

Scholarship Award: Depending on an individual student’s financial need, the scholarship provides a variable amount of up to £20,000 spanning three years.

Eligibility: Ghanaians, Russians, Nigerians, Pakistanis, Malaysians, Students from Sri Lanka.

Courses: Master of Laws (LLM) Postgraduate Degree Program

Scholarship Award: Worth a quarter of the LLM Degree.

Scholarships in Ghana 2018 - Study Abroad

Institution: Eni Corporate University, Italy

Eligibility: Students from Algeria, Angola, Cyprus, Congo, Egypt, Ghana, Indonesia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Libya, Mexico, Nigeria, Norway, Tunisia, and Turkmenistan

Courses: Master’s Degree Program in Energy and Environmental Management and Economics (MEDEA).

Scholarship Award: Non-payment of the €25,000 enrolment fees. The scholarship contributes financially for accommodation and living expenses and offers free training materials.

Application Deadline: 31st March, 2018

Institution: German Academic Exchange Service, Eastern Africa.

Eligibility: African Students.

Courses: PhD Fellowship Program in Forestry, Agroforestry, and Agrobiodiversity.

Scholarship Award: All the tuition fees paid in accordance with the fee structure plus a monthly stipend paid in local currency but equivalent to €920. In addition to this DAAD affords scholarship holders with €1025 to cover the costs of producing their theses.

Government Scholarships in Ghana

The following is a list of government scholarships in Ghana.

Institution: The Government of Hungary under the Educational Exchange Program, Hungary

Eligibility: Ghanaian citizen Students.

Courses: Bachelor, Masters, Doctoral and Non-degree Programs in various areas of specialty.

Scholarship Award: Exemption from tuition fee payment plus monthly stipend equivalent to €130 for undergraduates and €580 for postgraduates. The scholarship makes a contribution to accommodation and provides medical insurance up to €205 a year per person.

Institution: United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability

Eligibility: Ghanaian citizen Students.

Courses: Masters and PhD Programs in sustainability science.

Scholarship Award: Not provided.

Application Deadline: 28th February, 2018 for Masters and 27th April, 2018 for PhD

Institution: The University of Tsukuba, Japan - Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences

Eligibility: Ghanaian citizen Students.

Courses: Postgraduate Degree in the Program in Economic and Public Policy (Pepp).

Scholarship Award: Full tuition fees plus monthly stipend and national medical insurance. The scholarship also provides travel allowance of $500 for each one way trip and other program-related expenses including, but not limited to internships, educational trips and Japanese lessons.

Eligibility: Ghanaian citizen Students.
