Shatta Wale and co feature in top five 'asorkpor' songs in the last decade
A few years ago, Azonto music was the craze among Ghanaians. Every party and every joint played loud Azonto music to very pleased audiences. But Azonto music itself came from what many know as "Asorkpor."
Asorkpor is popular among the Ga people but is is easily noticeable by all. Its heavy rhythm and fast paced tunes make this easy to identify.

1. Telemo by Gasmilla
This is by far Gasmilla's biggest hit until date. The musician's 2014 song was a nationwide hit and had a lot of airplay on radio.
Unfortunately, a cover of Gasmilla's hit was made by Atom that got Atom the award for Ghana's Most Popular Song in 2015.
2. Ekiki Mi (remix) by Wisa Greid featuring Luther and Sarkodie
Wisa will perhaps struggle to hit the heights he did with Ekiki Mi. This is partly due to his infamous indecent exposure at a music show in 2015.
Ekiki Mi had the star power of Sarkodie and that only did an amazing thing for the song. Since this, Wisa released more tracks but none is in the same category as his biggest hit.
3. Solo by Article Wan
This was Article Wan's breakout song. It came at a time when most people felt Asorkpor music was nearing its end.
Article Wan delivers a sensational tune on this one and even after two years, it is still big.
4. Freedom by Shatta Wale
Shatta Wale is a big time commercial artiste. He loves to do the best to keep his hype among his fans.
Freedom offers the best Asorkpor could give.
