Exclusive photos and video of fire, bullets and protests at Madina-Adentan Highway
YEN.com.gh can confirm that residents of Adentan in Greater Accra have engaged security officials in a violent protest over what the residents claim is the local government's unwillingness to complete a footbridge on the highway.
The protesters mounted roadblocks and burnt tyres in protest of what they say is neglect of the footbridge on the Madina-Adentan Highway.
Myjoyonline.com also reports that things came to a head Thursday afternoon after report that a student of the West Africa Senior High School (WASS) was knocked down.

YEN.com.gh reporters also caught sight of a man who was allegedly hit by a stray bullet from a warning shot by a police officer.

Officers of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) were on the scene to put out the fire while the police are yet to get to the scene to control the irate residents.
