DJ Switch gets social media users angry after proposing to logo designers with 'hype'

Young Ghanaian entertainer DJ Switch has incurred the anger and mockery of social media users after proposing to pay a creative artist with "hype" across her social media platforms.

Switch, whose real name is Erica Tandoh, believes from some indications that she has become a household name.

As such, Tandoh tweeted earlier on Friday, January 4, 2019: "Hi fans, i need an official logo branded, DJ SWITCH GHANA. The best designer gets hyped on all platforms. ♥️"

The tweet seemed like a harmless call to creatives out there to offer her something. But most were not pleased because she did not mention payment.

Celebrated blogger and entrepreneur, Naa Oyoo Quartey turned to sarcasm to make her feelings known.

Others were just glad that Switch had committed a mistake that was going to lead to some serious reckoning.

Another content creator, Kwadwo Sheldon could not hide his feelings.

The issue of remuneration is an often discussed topic on social media. Creatives in Ghana lament unpaid or poor wages for work in various multimedia aspects.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that a few months after requesting a Range Rover for her birthday, DJ Switch, has once again made another request which singer Mr Eazi has vowed to fulfill.

Mr Eazi revealed that during a dinner with the 11-year-old DJ, he asked DJ Switch what her Christmas wish was and the young talent mentioned DJ studio equipment.
