YEN.com.gh has learned that shops in the Accra Mall have indicated that they are ready to shut down their offices on Thursday, October 24, 2019, if pressing concerns are not addressed.
The owners of the shops disclosed the rent paid is unreasonably high and services available are poor.
They explained they will close their shops from morning to afternoon to ensure their demands are met.
This comes in the wake of ongoing repair works that have negatively affected their sales.
The owners went on to say they are willing to take further drastic measures if the management of the mall fails to reason with them.
Per a report by graphic.com.gh, the rent charged at the Accra Mall ranges between $80-86 (GH¢430- GH¢455) per square metre.
The shop owners added that efforts to get Broll Ghana, the managers, to renegotiate their rents have proven futile.
